- In a skillet, brown the ground beef, drain off the oil and fat, and set aside.
- Heat the refried beans in a small pan on a large plate.
- Spread out the tortilla chips on a serving platter or oven-safe dish.
- Spoon the cooked ground beef onto the chips, then add the refried beans.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Place in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or until the cheese is thoroughly melted.
- Alternatively, microwave for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Spoon sour cream onto the center of the chips.
- Add salsa sauce on top or serve on the side, if desired.
