Ingredients

  • 3 c. ham, sausage or Canadian bacon, cooked and cubed
  • 3 c. French bread, cubed
  • 3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 5 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of Tabasco sauce or cayenne pepper
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cubed ham, cubed French bread, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix the flour, dry mustard, and a dash of Tabasco sauce or cayenne pepper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and bread mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake the casserole uncovered for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm for a delicious holiday breakfast or brunch.
