Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. powdered milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and beaten eggs.
  2. Sift together the flour, soda, baking powder, powdered milk, and salt, then add to the butter mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, chopped pecans, and cinnamon.
  4. Layer the pecan mixture on top of the coffee cake batter.
  5. Refrigerate for 20 minutes before baking.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  7. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
