- Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, self-rising flour, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ginger.
- Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter and sugar mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
- Stir in vanilla and nuts until well combined.
- Pour batter into a tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°F (163°C), or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
