Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except oats, almonds, and chocolate chips. Blend well.
  2. Add in the rolled oats, almonds, and chocolate chips, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape the dough into balls using a rounded teaspoonful for each.
  4. Place the cookie balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
