Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 2 cans refried beans
  • 2 cans kidney beans

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and crushed red pepper over medium heat and cook until beef is browned.
  2. In a large kettle, combine refried beans, kidney beans, molasses, and tomato sauce, then bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to a simmer and add the skillet mixture to the kettle.
  4. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and serve.
