Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • seasoning salt
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into serving pieces and coat with flour seasoned with seasoning salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the steak on both sides in a skillet.
  3. Place the browned steak in a baking dish and pour cream of mushroom soup over the meat.
  4. Top with sliced onions and bell peppers.
  5. Drain excess oil from the skillet used to brown the steak.
  6. Make a roux with flour and seasoning salt; cook until browned.
  7. Add water to the roux to create a gravy.
  8. Pour the gravy over the steak in the baking dish.
  9. Cover with foil and bake in a 400°F oven for 1 hour.
