- Drain the can of slivered bamboo shoots.
- Place the bamboo shoots in a saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil and drain.

- Add the drained bamboo shoots, sliced onion, salt, sugar, shoyu, and mirin to the chicken and broth mixture.
- Add the minced green onions.
- Pour the beaten eggs over the chicken mixture.
