Ingredients

  • 1 box Trenton oyster crackers, split in half
  • 1 pint oysters with liquor
  • 1 1/2 quarts milk
  • 1 1/2 pints light cream
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • salt to taste
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • dash of paprika
  • dash of pepper
  • Bisquick topping
  • 4 to 5 potatoes, diced and cooked

Instructions

  1. Cook oysters in their liquor until their edges curl.
  2. Add milk, cream, margarine, salt, Worcestershire sauce (optional), paprika, and pepper; heat until hot and margarine is melted.
  3. Pour the mixture into a casserole sprayed with Pam, reserving about 3 cups of the milk mixture.
  4. Add cooked potatoes and oyster crackers to the casserole.
  5. Roll Bisquick biscuits very thin, like pie crust, and place on top of the casserole as a crust.
  6. Bake at 425°F (220°C) until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Serve topped with some of the reserved liquid for added flavor if desired.
