Ingredients

  • 16 to 18 oz. frozen vegetable mixture (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)
  • 1/2 cup oleo
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes (optional)
  • 6 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. Accent

Instructions

  1. Cook frozen vegetables in 2 cups of water until tender.
  2. Mix oleo and butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped celery and onions to the butter mixture.
  4. Saute until onions are clear and fragrant.
  5. Add flour and stir until well blended with the vegetables and butter mixture.
  6. Add chicken bouillon cubes (if using) and cold milk, stirring constantly.
  7. Add cooked vegetables, diced ham, pepper, and Accent seasoning to the soup.
  8. Salt to taste, and cook until the soup is thick and smooth.
