Tips & Substitutions
For a moister meat loaf, consider adding a little unsweetened applesauce or grated zucchini to the mixture. You can substitute ground chicken for turkey if preferred. If you're out of parsley, fresh basil or cilantro can also work well. Ensure you finely chop the veggies to maintain a uniform texture. For added flavor, try mixing in some Worcestershire sauce.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the meat loaf with a side of mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a hearty meal. It pairs beautifully with a fresh garden salad or roasted sweet potatoes. For a complete dinner, consider serving it alongside a slice of crusty bread and a light vinaigrette dressing. This dish makes for great sandwiches the next day, too!
Storage & Reheating
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, place slices in the microwave on medium power for 1-2 minutes or until warmed through. Alternatively, reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes, covered with foil to retain moisture.
