Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • 6 cups water

Instructions

  1. Brown and drain the hamburger.
  2. Combine chopped celery, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, tomato sauce, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes, and elbow macaroni in a large pot.
  3. Add water and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.
  5. Before serving, stir in lemon juice and Parmesan cheese.
