Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups uncooked rolled oats
  • 1 cup (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candy coated chocolate pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
  3. Cream the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, peanut butter, and eggs in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Blend in baking soda, vanilla, and oats until well mixed.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and candy coated chocolate pieces.
  6. Scoop out about 1/3 cupful of dough for each cookie and place on prepared cookie sheets, spacing about 4 inches apart.
  7. Press each cookie to flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until firm in the center.
  9. Remove from oven and transfer to wire racks to cool.
