Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups corn flakes
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Spanish peanuts
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  2. Fold in corn flakes, oatmeal, Spanish peanuts, baking powder, baking soda, and flour until evenly mixed.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
