Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 unbeaten eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs; beat well.
  3. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
  4. Add chopped pecans.
  5. Drop from teaspoon, about 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 12 to 15 minutes.
