Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. black ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cinnamon, black ground pepper, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs to the creamed mixture; beat well.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until blended.
  5. Wrap the dough in wax paper or clear plastic and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Form half teaspoon of dough into small balls.
  8. Place the dough balls on a greased cookie sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
  10. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
