Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg and mix well.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients with milk to the butter mixture, mixing continuously.
  4. Fold in mashed banana.
  5. Melt 1/3 cup butter and pour it into the bottom of the cake pan.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  7. Arrange crushed pineapple and nuts on top of the sugar layer.
  8. Pour the batter over the pineapple and nuts.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
