- Place the spareribs in the soy sauce mixture, turning to coat well, then arrange meat side down in the pan.

- Occasionally baste the ribs with the soy sauce mixture using a pastry brush.
- Turn the ribs meat side up and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Drain 1/4 cup pineapple chunks into a 1-cup measure and stir in brown sugar.
- Brush the spareribs with the brown sugar mixture.
- Bake for 10 minutes longer or until the ribs are fork-tender.
- Spoon drained pineapple chunks over the spareribs.
- Bake for 5 minutes or just until the pineapple is heated through.
- Arrange the spareribs on a warm large platter with the pineapple.
