Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. Italian style fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, cut into 24 (1/2-inch) cubes
  • 1 (15 oz.) jar pizza sauce
  • shredded lettuce (optional)
  • sliced mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, garlic salt, and pepper; mix well.
  2. Cover each cube of cheese with about 1 tablespoon of meat mixture, carefully sealing all around.
  3. Place meatballs in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  4. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
