- Combine sugar, oil, and eggs in a mixing bowl.
- Beat well until mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add red food coloring and strained plums to the mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and blend well.
- Fold in nuts into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan.
- Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before dusting with confectioners sugar.
