- 1 small can mushroom steak sauce ⓘ
- 2 qt. water ⓘ

Instructions
- In a heavy aluminum pot, brown the sausage; remove and set aside.
- Brown the pork; remove and set aside.
- Saute chopped vegetables until soft.
- Add roux, stirring to blend well.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes with chiles, mushroom soup, mushroom steak sauce, and water; bring to a boil.
- Return the meats to the pot.
- Simmer on low flame for 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Just before serving, stir in chopped parsley and green onion tops.
