Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean pork, cubed ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. oil ⓘ
- 1 small pepper, chopped ⓘ
- 1 small onion, minced ⓘ
- 1 c. celery, diced ⓘ
- 1 can stewed tomatoes ⓘ
- 1 small can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1 can chicken broth ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. flour ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. basil ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. oregano ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
Instructions
- Heat oil in a heavy pot and slowly sauté the cubed pork, chopped pepper, minced onion, and diced celery for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and blend in thoroughly.
- Add the seasoning, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chicken broth to the pot.
- Cook slowly for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Serve the Pork Creole over hot rice.
