Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely crumbled pretzels
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 large box strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 small boxes frozen strawberries
  • 1 small tub whipped topping
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine and brown sugar together and remove from heat.
  2. Blend in pretzels and spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch glass pan.
  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven.
  4. Cool and set aside.
  5. Mix strawberry jello with boiling water until all granules are dissolved.
  6. Add cold water and strawberries to the jello mixture and let thicken slightly in the refrigerator.
  7. Whip together whipped topping, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pretzel crust.
  9. Top with the strawberry jello mixture.
  10. Refrigerate and let the dessert firm before serving.
