Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream the shortening until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the beaten eggs and pumpkin, then mix well.
  4. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
