Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon mace
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cups rich milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients (sugar, salt, cinnamon, mace, cloves, ginger) in order listed.
  2. Stir altogether until well mixed.
  3. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  4. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.
  5. Reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 40 minutes.
  6. Check doneness with a knife inserted in the middle of the pie; it should come out clean.
