Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 15 oz. jar applesauce
  • 1 package Pillsbury carrot and spice cake mix
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 can cream cheese frosting
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour a 15 x 10-inch pan or two 8 or 9-inch square pans.
  3. In a large bowl, blend oil, eggs, and applesauce for 1 minute on low speed.
  4. Add cake mix; blend until moistened. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
  5. Stir in raisins.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan; spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until done.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
