Quick Sausage Supper
A hearty, flavorful sausage skillet dish with tomatoes, mushrooms, and herbs, perfect for quick weeknight dinners and satisfying all the family members.
Ingredients
- 3/4 to 1 lb. pork sausage ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. flour ⓘ
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces and stems, drained ⓘ
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans (optional) ⓘ
- 1 can (10) biscuits ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 (16 oz.) can undrained tomatoes ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. basil leaves ⓘ
- 1/8 tsp. pepper ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, brown the sausage and chopped onion.
- Drain the cooked sausage and onion.
- Sprinkle the mixture with flour.
- Add undrained tomatoes, mushrooms, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and pepper; mix well.
- If desired, add pork and beans to the skillet.
- Heat until hot and bubbly, stirring until slightly thickened.
- Serve hot.
