Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans (optional)
  • 1 can (10) biscuits
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can undrained tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, brown the sausage and chopped onion.
  3. Drain the cooked sausage and onion.
  4. Sprinkle the mixture with flour.
  5. Add undrained tomatoes, mushrooms, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and pepper; mix well.
  6. If desired, add pork and beans to the skillet.
  7. Heat until hot and bubbly, stirring until slightly thickened.
  8. Serve hot.
