Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 scant teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook raisins in 1 cup of water and set aside.
  2. Mix dry ingredients (sugar, flour, cinnamon, baking soda).
  3. Add beaten egg and margarine to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Fold in the cooked raisins and water into the mixture.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes or until done.
  7. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
