Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups seedless golden raisins
  • water
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 3/4 cups quick oats

Instructions

  1. Cover raisins with boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain the raisins well.
  3. Beat together butter, peanut butter, and sugar until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  5. Resift flour with salt, cinnamon, and baking soda.
  6. Blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
  7. Mix in oats and raisins.
  8. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
  9. Flatten the cookies slightly.
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, until browned.
  11. Remove from oven and transfer to racks to cool.
