Ingredients

  • 3 unpeeled tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 banana pepper, chopped
  • black pepper
  • basil
  • red pepper
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 can unsalted tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Chop the unpeeled tomatoes, onion, garlic, green pepper, and banana pepper.
  2. Combine the chopped vegetables in a bowl.
  3. Add black pepper, basil, and red pepper to taste.
  4. Stir in 1/4 cup of vinegar.
  5. Use 1 to 2 cups of red pack tomato puree or unsalted tomato sauce to reach desired consistency.
  6. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and serve.
