Sandwich Bread
A savory braided sandwich bread filled with thin sliced corned beef and cheese, infused with caraway seed, perfect for lunch or a hearty snack with bold flavors.

Instructions
- Set aside 1 cup of flour.
- Mix the remaining flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
- Stir in hot water and margarine until combined.
- Mix in enough reserved flour to make a soft dough.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for 4 minutes.
- Roll the dough out on a greased baking sheet to a 14-inch by 10-inch rectangle.
- Place thin slices of corned beef and cheese in layers in the center one-third of the dough.
- Cut 1-inch wide strips along the sides of the filling, out to the edges of the dough.
- Fold the strips in at an angle across the filling, alternating sides to create a braided effect.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 15 minutes over a pan of hot water.
- Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with caraway seed.
- Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes or until light brown.
- Cool slightly on the pan and serve immediately.
