Ingredients

  • 4 lb. spareribs
  • 12 oz. bottle chili sauce
  • 12 oz. jar pineapple preserves
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut ribs into serving-size pieces; place in large Dutch oven.
  2. Add enough water to cover ribs; cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes.
  3. Drain ribs and place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients; stir well to make the sauce.
  5. Spoon sauce over ribs; cover and bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
