Savory Veal Chops
Savory veal chops are tender and flavorful, featuring garlic, mushrooms, and herbs, perfect for a hearty dinner that impresses with rich, aromatic flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 (5 oz.) loin veal chops ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- vegetable cooking spray
- 2 tsp. vegetable oil ⓘ
- 1/4 cup water ⓘ
- 1/4 cup dry white wine ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic ⓘ
- 1 small onion
- 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. crushed rosemary ⓘ
- 1 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley ⓘ
Instructions
- Sprinkle veal chops with Italian seasoning and pepper.
- Coat a large skillet with vegetable cooking spray.
- Add vegetable oil and heat over medium high heat until hot.
- Add veal chops to the skillet.
- Cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Drain veal on paper towels.
- Wipe the skillet dry.
- Add water, chicken bouillon granules, white wine, and crushed garlic to the skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the bouillon.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Place sliced onion in the bottom of a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish; top with veal chops.
- Pour the wine mixture over the veal.
- Sprinkle mushrooms and crushed rosemary over the top.
- Cover and bake for 25 minutes until tender.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
