Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Bring margarine, oil, water, and cocoa to a boil.
  2. Mix together sugar and flour.
  3. Pour the cocoa mixture over the dry ingredients and blend well.
  4. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla to the mixture and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a sheet cake pan.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.
  7. Ice the cake while hot.
