Ingredients

  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp butter or oleo
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/2 cups cream-style cottage cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 tsp dried basil crushed
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1 lb shelled shrimp cooked and halved
  • 1 (7.5 oz) can crabmeat drained and flaked
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain. Arrange 4 noodles in the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook onion in butter until tender; blend in cream cheese. Stir in cottage cheese, egg, basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper; spread half of this mixture atop the noodles.
  3. Combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, and wine in a bowl.
  4. Stir in cooked and halved shrimp and drained, flaked crabmeat into the soup mixture.
  5. Spread half of the seafood mixture over the cottage cheese layer.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining noodles, cottage cheese mixture, and seafood mixture.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top layer.
  8. Bake, uncovered, in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
  9. Top with shredded sharp cheese and bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until melted.
  10. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with tomato, parsley, and extra shrimp if desired.
