Ingredients

  • 9 1/2 oz. butter
  • 7 oz. granulated sugar
  • 5 oz. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 oz. oatmeal
  • 7 1/2 oz. cake flour
  • 7 1/2 oz. high gluten (bread flour)

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and both sugars together with a paddle until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Stir in vanilla and lemon juice.
  4. Mix all dry ingredients (baking soda, cinnamon, oatmeal, cake flour, bread flour) and gradually incorporate into the sugar mixture.
  5. Add chocolate chips and pecans, mixing just long enough to evenly distribute.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F until the outside is slightly firm and the inside remains soft.
