Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. molasses
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
  2. Keep 1 cup of the crumbs aside.
  3. Add boiling water, molasses, eggs, hot water, and baking soda to the mixture.
  4. Mix all ingredients together using a mixer.
  5. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top.
  6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°F.
