Ingredients

  • 2 lb. raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tsp. minced parsley
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. minced onion
  • salt
  • 1 c. beer
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the shrimp.
  2. Saute shrimp and minced onion in butter for 1 minute on each side.
  3. Add salt to taste, Tabasco, and flour; mix well.
  4. Remove from heat and add beer and lemon juice, stirring constantly.
  5. Bring to a boil; add bay leaf and thyme.
  6. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Discard bay leaf.
  8. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with rice.
