Ingredients

  • 1 lb. raw shrimp
  • 1 cup self-rising cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • a dash of pepper
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix self-rising cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and egg with enough water to form a paste.
  2. Add raw shrimp to the mixture and combine well.
  3. Shape the mixture into small patties.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
