Ingredients
- 3 c. cooked chicken or turkey strips ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. blanched fresh pea pods
- 1 c. thin, diagonally sliced carrots ⓘ
- 1/2 c. green onion with tops, cut diagonally into 1/2 inch pieces ⓘ
- 2/3 c. picante sauce ⓘ
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce ⓘ
- 1 tsp. sesame oil ⓘ
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3 c. shredded lettuce ⓘ
- 1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds
- 1 can (3 oz.) chow mein noodles ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine cooked chicken or turkey strips, blanched pea pods, sliced carrots, and green onion in a large bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, mix together picante sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar until well blended.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetable mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Chill the salad before serving. Just before serving, top with shredded lettuce, toasted slivered almonds, and chow mein noodles.
