Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean tender beef
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 c. French-cut green beans
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained and juice retained

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into strips.
  2. Brown the beef in oil in a skillet.
  3. Add chopped onion, green beans, and sliced celery; cook for 4 to 6 minutes.
  4. Stir the ingredients together.
  5. Mix cornstarch, soy sauce, and mushroom liquid in a small bowl.
  6. Add the mixture to the skillet along with the drained mushrooms.
  7. Cook and stir until the liquid becomes shiny.
  8. Cover and cook until the beans are tender.
  9. Garnish with pimiento.
  10. Serve over rice.
