Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. chopped bell pepper
  • small can sliced mushrooms
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 c. cooked elbow macaroni

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef.
  2. Sauté onion and bell pepper with meat (also mushrooms if fresh).
  3. Drain excess grease.
  4. Season with garlic salt and black pepper.
  5. Add tomato sauce and mushrooms (drained if canned) to skillet.
  6. Simmer, covered, about 10 minutes.
  7. Add macaroni (slightly undercooked).
  8. Cover and simmer about 5 more minutes.
  9. Add a little water if it gets too dry during the simmering.
  10. This is good leftover.
