- Brown ground beef.
- Sauté onion and bell pepper with meat (also mushrooms if fresh).
- Drain excess grease.
- Season with garlic salt and black pepper.
- Add tomato sauce and mushrooms (drained if canned) to skillet.
- Simmer, covered, about 10 minutes.
- Add macaroni (slightly undercooked).
- Cover and simmer about 5 more minutes.
- Add a little water if it gets too dry during the simmering.
- This is good leftover.
