Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c. Snicker bars, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Stir together dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Mix all the cake ingredients except for the Snicker bars in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix for 30 seconds on low speed, then for 3 minutes on high.
  4. Stir in the chopped Snicker bars.
  5. Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pans.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes.
