Ingredients

  • 2 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add unbeaten eggs and vanilla.
  3. Beat well.
  4. Sift together dry ingredients.
  5. Blend into creamed mixture.
  6. Chill.
  7. Roll on floured board and cut.
  8. Bake at 400° for 6 minutes.
