Ingredients

  • 12 slices French bread
  • 10 oz Swiss cheese shredded
  • 10 oz Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3 cups ham cubed
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 can green chilies chopped
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp dry mustard
  • 3 cups crushed cornflakes

Instructions

  1. Spray a 13 x 9-inch pan with cooking spray (Pam).
  2. Line the bottom with 6 slices of French bread.
  3. Top the bread with cubed ham, shredded Swiss and Cheddar cheeses, chopped green chilies, and season with salt, pepper, and dry mustard.
  4. Beat eggs in a bowl; add milk and mix well.
  5. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the layered bread and toppings in the pan.
  6. Saute crushed cornflakes in butter until lightly toasted.
  7. Sprinkle the toasted cornflakes over the casserole.
  8. Cover the casserole and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
