Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 2 white bread slices
  • 1/2 cup crushed crackers
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon sweet basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix ground meat, chopped white bread, crushed crackers, chopped parsley, chopped garlic, egg, Parmesan cheese, sweet basil, salt (if using), and ground pepper well.
  2. Shape the mixture into evenly sized balls.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Brown the meatballs in the oil until cooked through and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Drain the meatballs well before serving.
