Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash of white pepper
  • 5 cups frozen corn

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Gradually add whipping cream, milk, sugar, salt, and white pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for two minutes.
  5. Add frozen corn; heat through.
  6. Transfer to an ungreased 1½-quart broiler-proof dish.
  7. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Broil 5 inches from the heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
