Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup green pepper
  • 4 slices bread
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup saltine cracker crumbs
  • ketchup

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, green pepper, small onion, eggs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Moisten bread slices with water and add to the mixture along with saltine cracker crumbs; mix until moist.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. Fry the patties in medium heat until cooked through.
  5. Cover the patties with ketchup and let simmer.
  6. Flip the patties and add more ketchup on the other side, then simmer again.
