Ingredients

  • 1/3 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 small onion, chopped
  • 1/3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic until the meat is browned and the onion is tender; drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the cooked meat mixture, tomato sauce, cooked rice, and chili powder.
  4. Cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly.
  5. Stir in half of the shredded Cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Spoon the mixture onto a plate and top with the remaining shredded cheese.
