Spicy beef turnovers feature seasoned ground beef, raisins, olives, and aromatic spices encased in flaky pie crust, perfect for a flavorful snack or appetizer with a kick.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 6 Tbsp. raisins
  • 6 Tbsp. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 Tbsp. ground coriander
  • 1 package pie crust
  • 1/4 cup minced onions
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped olives
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make 1/2 package of pie crust according to package directions.
  2. Roll out the pie crust as directed.
  3. Use a small round glass or cookie cutter to cut out as many circles as possible from the rolled crust.
  4. Keep the cut-out circles cool until ready to use.
